Hey @everyone just addressing what happened earlier so it doesn’t keep spiraling.

The exchange that happened today should not have played out publicly the way it did. I’ve already addressed it privately, and going forward I expect both staff and players to keep disagreements out of public channels and handle things respectfully.

If there is an issue with a player, or with staff, bring it to me privately and let me handle it. I want Draeda to be a place people enjoy being, not a place where arguments turn into public drama.

Let’s move on and forward from it.

# ⚠️ Service Downtime Notice

Sorry @everyone , but **tomorrow morning (EST)** the server will be going offline for a **service change**.

We do not have a specific time yet, but the ISP quoted an outage window of **3–4 hours**. That said, that estimate feels a bit generous, so it may end up being shorter.

Thanks for your patience while this gets taken care of.

@everyone Sorry for the crashes over the last couple of days. The main issue appears to be database connection problems with the Crafter mod again. On top of that, WyvernMods QoL’s Mine to Cart module has also contributed to the instability.

To explain it simply: this does not mean the database itself is broken. Sometimes a mod tries to connect at the exact moment the database is temporarily unavailable, still busy, locked, or not fully ready. A well-made mod should handle that by retrying or failing gracefully. Crafter does not seem to do that. If it cannot connect when it wants to, it tends to just give up instead of recovering properly, which can lead to bigger problems.

So the issue is not always “the server” or “the database” in general, it is often the way a specific mod handles a temporary connection failure. Unfortunately, Crafter has been one of the biggest offenders when this happens.

We’re keeping an eye on it and doing what we can to reduce these issues. Thanks for bearing with us while we wrestle with this.

Crafters Mod and Draedic Vestiges have been temporarily disabled.

@everyone We now have a fully functioning Cargo Hauling mod! For the time being it is by water only, simply pull your boat up to the West Draeda docks, or East Draeda Docks, right click your boat and select "Cargo Manifest". There are multiple trading outposts, and 40 different routes scattered across the map. Pay is fair, and I hope you enjoy it! Get out there, see the map, and have a good time! NOTE: IF YOU CHEAT BY USING RUNES YOU WILL BE TEMP BANNED ON FIRST OFFENSE, PERMANENTLY BANNED IF CAUGHT AGAIN.

@everyone We now have liquid trading on our traders. Items no longer decay when on a merchant, and the amount of items you can have on the merchant has been raised to 100+. There's a quick guide video in if you want to see how the new system works. ❤️

@everyone the world now has Ravager Drakes, and Harrower Basilisks in it. They are not easy to kill, but should be easy to outrun if you're not looking for a fight. On death the drakes drop hides, and basilisks drop scales. They are not butchered, as the weight return on butchering was absolutely outrageous (12.5kg scale). So you just kill them and the drops appear on the ground. I also added recipes for strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry wines. I created a thread in for cooking recipe requests. If there's something you've been dying to eat in game, drop it in there. I'll be rare the next couple days, I'm having surgery and i'm not sure how good i'll be feeling. So if it's an emergency @me and I'll try to get my ass to the computer. ❤️

@everyone I've decided NOT to make the drakes and basilisks aggressive. Poll was close, but if the only reason to do it is to up drops of hides then yeah, there's gotta be a better way. Will figure something else out.

@everyone Server upgrades have been completed and server is back online and healthy. Thank you for your patience this evening! Also please remember that Sunday night restart will kick in the aggressive basilisks/drakes. ❤️
